The Innovator Founder Visa is designed for individuals with relevant business experience and sufficient investment funds to establish and grow a new business in the UK.
Before applying, candidates must have their business or business idea assessed by a Home Office-approved endorsing body. This body evaluates the viability of the business or idea and, if deemed viable, provides an endorsement letter to include with the visa application.
Successful applicants receive a three-year visa and can bring their family members to the UK. After three years, they can apply to extend their stay for another three years or to settle permanently in the UK under indefinite leave to remain (ILR). Each stage of the process—initial application, extension, and settlement—requires endorsement from an endorsing body.
